Thread: Looking for Fairman's

I am interested in finding my ancestors as far back in time as I can.

I know that there have been Fairmans in Salem, America in 1646. Are they my ancestors though. Our branch of the family originate from Kent, West Farleigh, Yalding etc.

There are thousands of Fairmans in America, Canada and Ireland. Did they originally sail away from England on the Mayflower or ships like it.



We have Fairmans in Australia but are they the Skeletons in our cupboard from long ago or workers sent to build houses etc in the early days of Australia's history.



Look in the phone book in Leicester, and there is only three Fairmans listed spelt right. Two of them are myself and my Dad. Soon there will be another. My Son who is about to get married and move away.



I would love to hear from anyone with information about Kent Fairmans.

Welcome to Ancestry Aid. I hope you enjoy the site and have good luck with your research. There are only two of us in the telephone directories but it doesn't mean that there are no more around. I have looked at the electoral role for 2004, and there were 11 Fairman's of voting age between 5 families.
