Thread: just joined the AA

Hi everybody

Having just startd with my family history, thought this forum might give me some pointers and directions.

I have only just found the indexes for my parents and grandparents and will sending off for several certificates in due time.

Looking for (all in Nottingham) Whitaker, Searle, Mellor and Toms.

Will collect some information together and send more detail at a later date.

In the meantime does anyone know of any free search sites? Have been using FreeBMD and Ancestory.co.uk.

Welcome to AA! There are useful links to sites posted in the Links and Tips boards. If yu have any specific requests for look ups just post on relevant boards in Genealogy Help Forum...lol.....lots of members are willing to help search out those elusive ancestors!
