Hello Phil and welcome to AA. No Whittingtons in my tree (that I know of as yet !) You'll soon find your way around and find it's a very friendly site. Lots of help on offer if you need it and any help you can give is brilliant. Enjoy it and good luck![]()
How beautiful it is to do nothing and rest afterwards...........
Mary, Whittington is the village, It is a "One Place Study" covers virtually everyon in the village and goes back hundreds of years. Started as a millennium project, and carried on. Regards, Phil. (
Just uploaded my huge gedcom).
Ooops..........sorry phil..............one of many 'senior moments'.......lol Still, got no-one there I'm afraid.
I'm trying to find out about the village my Dad grew up in. Small place in Bedfordshire called Souldrop.and keep drawing a blank. Even asked the local history society in Beds and had no reply. Hows the best way to start with something like this?

There is a website which contains PARLOC.COM short for Parish Locator, if you google it should find the exact name, hopefully! Phil.
Thanks Phil.............I'll give it a try.
