Hi all,
I have joined this site to first of all find info on my Grandfather and hopefully find reletaves of his commanding officer so that I can pass on a copy of a letter that he wrote to my gran shortly after my granfathers death during WW2.
here are the relevent details, if anyone is a reletive or knows of one please let me know.
My grandfather was in 5th Btn Black Watch and landed on 'JUNO' beach on D-Day approx 1900-2000 hours.
he was KIA - Gennep Holland - 11-feb-1945 and at that time and for the previous 7 months had been the CO's ( Lt Co B Bradford ) jeep driver and was stood next to him when hit by a shell.
