My name is Lori, and I am researching my father's side of the family. This has been a long and tedious project since most of the information we have to get is all sketchy at some point. My father's family originally came from England in 1870 to the U.S. and from what I know about the FRY side, James Fry was born about or around 1830 in England, and he had married a Betsy Leversuch, daughter of Henry Leversuch (who lived in Wiltshire, West Grimstead, England in 1861) but James and Betsy were married in 1850 and had two sons, Enoch and Joseph. I am not sure what happened to Betsy on if she died or she divorced James before he came to the U.S. in 1870, but he was married to someone named Emma, and with Enoch and Joseph they also had Fanny who was seven, Hellen who was six, George who was four a daughter who's first initial was T and they think her name was Tamera who was 2, then there was William who was one at the time they left Liverpool to come to the U.S.

I am hoping that someone who reads this will know something more about this family before they left England and that someone would know what happened to Betsy. If anyone is related to these people please let me know so I can also fill in the blanks for your side as well with the american connection. My father is the fifth generation for this family and I hope that someone can help. I am just hoping I can find out more about this family's England connection. Thank You, Lori Fry-Lau

Thanks. I just hope I can find what I am looking for or help someone else. I have been wracking my brain on the best sources and didn't know exactly where to look, and luckily someone here in the states was researching the Fry side as well and found some information linking us to England. So let's hope the information will help someone.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate all of the welcome wishes and I hope your all having luck with your searches as well. I am just surprised that I have found out my father's side of the family does have some english in it. So far on his mother's side he has Irish and Indian so on his father's side the English comes in. I am really glad to know that much. Have a great day everyone. Lori
