Hi,

I am pottering around finding my way about the site. I am mainly researching my mother's SAUNDERS family in Deptford and Greenwich, and my brother-in-law's ROTTENBERRYs, of a dozen different spelling variations, also in Deptford. It really is an amazing coincidence to find but it is possible that the families knew each other.

Thank you to everyone for their warm welcome. When I have found my way around a bit better, I will certainly be a bit more active. I have a few resources of my own on Berkshire and Oxfordshire, so if anyone needs any help I will be happy to try. I also have a background of working in museums before I retired, so, blowing my own trumpet, social history is my forte.
