I got an email and clicked on the link to activate my membership. However, I just noticed that further down the email, there was an activation code. I didn't see this until just now, as I just used my original password instead. Could this have contributed to the problem?

Well if it was then there's no real way of me knowing from this end, as I'm now activated so the activation code I received cannot be used now, as far as I can see.
Not sure what activities are only open to Premium Members, although I would have thought posting messages on the boards would have been one of them, so not really sure at all of my current status!

Welcome, We are so sorry for what happened for some reason the activation email was sent out and wasnt meant to be and whoever followed that link was put into the registered members and not the premium.

Very sorry about that. For some reason my board sent out all those activation emails when it wasnt supposed to, even though I had it set to not send it.
I have now taken steps to prevent this from happening again.
Again, I am sorry for the inconvenience caused.
