Thread: Great Central Railway stories

Hello my name is Louise!! I have just joined AA I wanted to join as I am currently involved in making a short programme on The Great Central Railway line. Not about the trains but about the history of the railway, so looking at the people that used it and worked on it or people who lived by it, family or induvidual stories. The program is based on memories and history of the line,There fore I felt this would be a really good place to post a message. Welcome to Ancestry Aid, I hope you enjoy the site. A lot of my ancestors did work on the railways but I have no idea which one. I have one family of 10, each born in a different town. The only story I know of is that my GG grandfather, a railway plate labourer walked in front of a train after the death of his son due to typhoid. Not much use to you, but I wish you success with your program.
