Thread: Hi

Hi, this is Winnie from NSW. I have just had a trip to the UK staying with my brother and family at Ham. Had a great time, managed to visit the LMA, Hammersmith & Fulham Archives and the Westminster Archives. Went back to where I was born, took lots of photos, visited the graves of my Mum and Dad and saw with horror what they had done to my old school. It was all boarded up and it was very sad to see, apparently it is going to be housing etc. Left to return to Australia on a very cold winter morning but drove through Richmond Park on our way to the airport. It was like a fairy land covered with frost, the trees some bare and some still with their golden brown leaves and the deer all resting in the park. it was magic and I shall remember it for a long time. The new site is great and I have just finished registering. Great to be back with you all and looking forward to still finding a couple of my elusive relatives.

I'm so glad you got here safely and you enjoyed your visit back home. Even with the closure of your old school we can say it has fond memories for one ex pupil, hope the rest of your visit lived up to expectations and we hope your time with us will be truly enjoyable. Great to have you with us.
