Hello.
a link in the Belfast Genealogy forum has brought me to this site. I am trying to help my new found cousin over a few brickwalls, what fascinates me is the way family names interweave throughout all our family histories. This practice is sadly dying out with the emphasis on trendy topical catchy yet unhelpfull fore/middle names.
Anyways back to business. Being an outsider so to speak my dad (George Ward) moved away from Belfast WW2 early 1940ish from quite an extended family. No mention of names just one photograph ( now lost) of an uncle in the Royal Navy...
I would dearly love to know any details of all dads brothers and sisters...His parents were Thomas Reid Ward and Mary Williamson marriage 1909.. I have good info. on the following...
Henry Baxter ....Thomas Reid jnr.....Sarah.....Hugh Williamson.....Richard.....Agnes bn 1910 .(no other info).....stillborn 1926.....and i am certain there was (or is) a Bella, moved to the Midlands, (no info), maybe more.... Thanks..
Think i am going to like it here P.D.
