Hi and a big thank you to all your warm welcome. I have been doing my family tree for some time and have got on well from my grandmothers side, tracing way back to the year 450. the problem i am having trouble with is my gt gt grandfather Alfred Stevens born abt 1818 on the isle of Man. Although i have him on census forms with his wife georgiana Julia Bradley and children. I can not find a birth cert or a marrage cert. I have thought of perhaps he did not marry, but his birth cert should be there. It's a mystery, any ideas anybody.
