    Default Hello from canada

    Hiya,
Just joined this site so just getting my feet wet as it were. Living in canada with hubby and kids but originally from the Uk Bolton for me and hubby and the kids were born in the Lakes. Hubby has traced lots of his tree back to 17 something but i thought it would be good if i did the same so the kids have both sides for their future any help appreciated as i want to do this without hubbys help lol

Hi Jon and the others thanks for the welcome
You would love where we live then lol We are right in the middle of the rockies in the south on the B.C /Alberta border we have a ski hill next to the house and have Waterton National park less than an hour away I can highly recommend emigrating we have no regrets at all just miss certain people and things but not enough to go back to live in England permenantly.

Outstanding, sound like a lovely life to lead. I am in the Army and spent three month on exercise on the prairy. Not too far from Medicine Hat.
During that time I went camping in the Rockies not too far from you. We stayed at a little camp site just outside Banf. Absolutely breath taking place
