I only just stumbled across the site on the hunt for some information on Australian BMD.

Do any of you know if there is a way to either confirm or obtain a recent (12 months) death certificate from South Australia.

I tried the Australian government department but as I'm not next of kin they won't confirm, deny or provide a cert.

I discovered a back door in so far as the SA probate registrar is happy to search for will's whilst you wait on the phone. This of course only relates to probate will's and unfortunately didn't help me this time.

Aside from my request I have access at work to the UK electoral roll from 1990 to the rolling 2011 with length of occupation records going back to the 80's.

Happy to help anyone search. (not sure what the rules here are on people still alive ?)
