Thread: Hello

Hello everyone
I've been interested in family history ever since my mum received a copy of her mothers family tree and I saw all the names on it (I was quite a small child). recently I've been researching my mothers fathers side of the family and apart from a few brickwalls I've found it really interesting.
I've also been researching my fathers side as well - it's interesting as he was from a small group of villages where almost everyone was related to everyone else so it makes for an interesting family tree shape - almost impossible to use a pedigree style tree, but it's also the reason why all the old pictures he's got everyone looks similar - oh and any blonde haired blue eyed children were blamed on one particular relative, heehee.
The names I've been researching are Dalton and Jackson on my fathers side, and Kenyon, Burman ( I've already got that tree as it's the paper copy we were given) and Dickens. It hasn't been easy and at times I've felt like giving up, but the mysteries within the family are what is keeping me going.
