Thread: Hi from me with a big interest in Leicester

Have not been very active here, but since all the info came my way from emails, here I am and like the site.

I have many relatives from Leicester and I was born there. My main lines are MOORE and WARD, my Moores were originally from the Whitwick/Thringstone/Huggleston area then Leicester city whilst my Wards are from Newark then Leicester and I think they may have originated in Yorkshire. Would love to offer my help with the resources I have to hand as I am a member of the Leicester and Rutland FHS so will keep an eye to the Leicester thread. This part is my mother's line and as I live in Nottingham, I am well placed to visit home.

My father's side is a little different, so if there are any Elsden/Elsden (Essex) folk out there, I would love to hear from you. My maiden name was Wills, hence the message on my signature. After hearing stories of Grandad as a Barnardo's boy, only to prove it wrong, I would love to find her.
Unfortunately, the bug bit when no one was left to ask...so here I am
