Anyone for Polish?

Hi to all. I'm Mike from Cheshire - a retired special school deputy head who now has more time for researching my family. My main difficulty is that my mother's family were Polish Jews caught up in the Holocaust. Research in Poland is slow as my Polish is about as good as my Serbo-Croat .... non-existent! Mind you, I still find the whole genealogy thing fascinating.
