Hi Margaret,
Welcome to Ancestry Aid,
Good luck with your research.
Thank you Don for the welcome, I am not a genealogist I am just an expert at annoying people.
Thank you Pauline for the very warm welcome. I hit my brick wall a while ago with an elusive Norfolk ancestor. I found him again by chance in FreeReg.
Thank you Gillian, I have a lot of my ancestry on my family tree at Ancestry.co.uk but I don't want to only have the one. Ancestry Aid seems a great site so I will keep a record on here too and hopefully get involved with the community here. I have more brick walls about my Scottish Ancestry than my English Ancestry. Hopefully at some point someone on here can help.
Hi Hazelnut, I visited this site a few times before it was revamped and I must say it looks great now. What put me off before was the fact that there was not a Family Tree on here, it just didn't grab me. Now it has a Family Tree function and I can stay here and when I get bored copying out all my records and data I can pop into the forum for ideas, a bit of conversation and annoy the researchers who I hope will encourage me to keep searching. If I can also help other users and it is within my capability then I will do what I can.
Margaret your more than welcome to be part of aa. The tree is a great asset to the site and very simple to use, Join in with us whenever you want .
