Thread: Hi to everyone

I have just come across your site and decided to join up. I have found similar forums on the Great War and the Canadian Expeditionary Force and they help has been invaluable.

I have been researching my family for about 3 years and find it totally addictive as I'm sure everyone else does. I'm lucky in that both my maternal and paternal sides didn't move far and stayed within Buckinghamshire so I have all the records as my disposal at the Centre for Bucks Studies near my home and any spare hour I have, that is where you will find me!

I am helping my friend out with her tree as well, so I must be a glutton for punishment - but it helps when I hit a brick wall with mine, I can turn to hers.

The names I am looking into are Brooks, Irving, Dawe and Mealing.
