Thread: Hello from Sue

Hi everyone,

I didn't know about this site until another member told me about it last night. I'm originally from Leeds, live in Herts for 20 years and now in Cambs.

My family names are Ellis, Leeds West Yorks, Brears, Lincs, Beresford, Lancs. I have been lucky enugh to discover there is a Beresford Society which was my paternal Grandmother's name which I've joined.

Also doing my daughter in law's tree but her mother's family came over from Ireland in the 1940's and her father's family were Romany. Not ding too well with those!

Also doing my husband's family, the name is Upright. I'm just finding out about this family as husband's grandfather was 'adopted' by another family and no-one knows the true story.
