Thread: I'm a new member

Hi there



I've just joined after reading the new Your Family Tree magazine where this site was recommended. With the help of others I've managed to get quite far in my research of my husband, father and mother's side of the family, although I'm now stuck on my great-grandmother's Welsh family. I'm keen to find out more but, as with most people, I lack the necessary funds.



My great-grandmother, Blodwen John, was born on 11 March 1892 in Pontarddulais, Swansea, Wales. Her mother was Miriam Hughes and we think her father was Thomas Benjamin John. Her siblings were: Elizabeth (b abt 1890), Thomas B (b abt 1891), James/Jim (b abt 1894), William (b 28 Mar 1896), Sarah (b abt 1900), May (b abt 1903) and Danny (b abt 1904).
