researching cooke family from Shepton mallet

I am tracing my wifes family tree and have reached a problem when the family was dispersed from the area of shepton Mallet somerset in the late 20s or early 30's One samuel Cooke married a Thorner in the 1910 I suspect. Believed to been a butcher although quoted as being a cheesemaker on his death cert in 1946. Any help welcomed.Skizzydo
