Thread: Hello, I am new

I have been trying to locate the exact manner in which Robert Blackwood (my GGF) left Scotland and when. Also I am trying to find where and when he arrived in Australia. It was c1860 and he was aged approx 35 - I have got him traced to his grave post 1864 and have hin in the census at 1861 in Renfrewshire but 1851 - 1864 I am finding very challenging.I have tried the usual, assisted, unassisted, convicts lists but no luck.



Also I am working on May Leys (my GGM) who he married in 1864 in Creswick (near Ballarat in Victoria Australia) but still no luck with her neither. I am marriage details and parents names but still stumped.



Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
