Thread: Researching West Country Romany / travelling families

Hi to all



I am descended from the Hughes / Penfold / Sanders clans that were licensed hawkers travelling around Devon and Somerset throughout the 19th century. I've managed to pick up some great facts here, that on the one hand re-inforces received family folklore, and other information that contradicts it completely!!



Anyhow, look forward to corresponding with other distant relations (or as my late granny said "the delations"!)
