Thread: Help finding Daniel Flynn of Steelroe County Kerry died approx. 1900

Dear friend,

I am James Flynn at present living in Sydney, Australia.

I have my father's certificate of birth from St James Church, Killorglin but I can find no information of his parents, Daniel Flynn and Mary Linehan.



My father James Flynn was born 23rd December 1881 and baptised 4th January 1882.



I tried looking up the 1911 census but as the family was evicted after the death of Daniel prior to the census and two of the five sons (maybe three) were in Australia at time, and maybe my grandmother, Mary, was dead then also. However, I think that grandmother and her youngest boy Timothy were living at Steelroe in a little house in the cummer at Steelroe at the time of the census.



Any clue as how to proceed would be much appreciated.

I am still finding my way around this site but so far I have not gone far into getting information about my grandparents.

hi seamaisin, i am from Guisborough in cleveland in north yorkshire and it is just twenty miles from whitby, but we are in the the country, a nice little market town, also Redcar and Middlesborough are only seven miles away. my collies there are two of them,they are both from working parents one black and white the other is red and white,but i have them as pets.
