Thread: Hi to All

Hi



I am Sue and I live in South Manchester. I have been researching my family tree for some years after my Dad wondered how his great grandfather, William Gatward, who was born in Saffron Walden, Essex ending up marrying a girl from North Wales.



I can only guess at the reason but have traced the Gatward line back to the 1500's. And have now undertaken a one name study of this name.



I have traced back my four grandparents probably as far as I can now but it doesn't stop my trying to fill in the gaps. The names are Gatward, Roe, Trafford and Benson (Lancashire).



A compulsive hobby!
