    Default Hi! I am New!

    Hi Everyone,

My name is Carrie-Anne. I got to family researching by the fact that my Grandad had never said much about his family, and I always wanted to know more about where he came from etc... As I was extremely close to him.

    I am a member of Ancestry.co.uk, genesreunited.co.uk, findmypast.co.uk.

These are the Families I am currently researching.

Ferrie Family From Belfast and Scotland. (Really stuck at the moment, so if anyone can help, I will be so grateful!)

Squire Family from Devon and Cornwall (Got it back to the 1500s so far)

Bradfield Family from Milton Berkshire (Got it back to 1603)

Stockwell Family from Hampshire ( Got it back to 1762)

Church Family from Huntingdon (Got it back to 1800s)

Turner Family from Spaldwick Huntingdon (Got it back to 1800s)

Sutton Family from South Wales. ( Stuck on this to! So if you can help again I will be very grateful)

Rosier Family from Hungerford (Got it back to 1800s)

Gibbs Family from Hungerford. (Got it back to 1800s)

Whiteside Family from Belfast (Got it back to 1670s)

Smith Family from Berkshire (Completely stuck here!)

Gerry Gamily from Devon and Cornwall (Got it back to 1800s)

If anyone has similar research interests to me, I would love to hear from you.

    Thanks so much everyone!

    Carrie-Anne

    Carrie,

Received an email from Joe today explaining who you may be, mentioned Liz King .

How far are you back with the Ferrie family in Belfast ?

My local research venue with the Mormon church is closed for mods ,so I would have to go to the PRO about 6 miles away.

Evidently Joe's Aunt Lilly lived about 2 miles from where I live.

    regards

    Hi

That would be great if you can help, thanks so much.

I haven't had much luck with my Ferrie Family. I am trying to find out about Edward Francis Ferrie, my Grandfather's father. We think he was born in Scotland, around 1905, but we don't know his birth date. He married Elizabeth (Lilly) McGibbon Whiteside 1905, we think in Doncaster, but I haven't seen the marriage certificate. They had two children, my Grandfather Gerald Ferrie born 1941, and his sister (Liz King's mum) Sarah Elizabeth Ferrie born 1931. I know that Edward Francis Ferrie was a famous musician in Belfast. Also that he travelled in the circus as well.

I am desperate to find out anything about Edward! If you could find anything about him, I would be so grateful.

Or anything about Elizabeth Whiteside? I would be so grateful!

    Thanks so much
