Hiya everyone I'm here searching names Holland/Seymour/Felstead/Fury
Hello pleased to meet you all .
wow what a site , loads of interesting stuff , a casual 10 second drop in has turned into a very informative well organised site .
My name is Elaine & Iv'e been trying to trace my family trees ( my fathers's parents-both ) and my mother's parents (both) so Iv'e become a very confused person these past 5 years or so ha !
I have over the years found a elder half sister for my father , which was a bit of a shocker as he didn't know his mother had been married twice so the reunion was amazing my father in his 70s & his sister in her 80s , I have found a sister for my cousin who also new nothing of her existance again a lovely reunion , I love this hobby , Hobby seems such a tiny word as you have all probably found out it's a lifechanging experience .
My fathers side of the family are the Holland family from bermondsey & retford Nottinghamshire & the Seymour family from Warwickshire & France .
My Mothers side are the Felstead family from Leicestershire & the Fury family from Ireland & Lincolnshire so plenty of work for me to do , I'm back to the early 1800s with 3 of them & 1700s with the Felstead family .
I will help anyone as much as I can as other's have helped me in the past , I'm a qualified Hairdresser , was a greenkeeper on many golf courses in Germany for 9 years , been a security guard , in fact you name it Iv'e probably don't it ( or tried to ) I currently work for the council as a nightwaker working with Autistic young adults , I love music ( most kinds ) & have 2 cats which I spoil something rotten , so thats about it , any questions ??? oh I have a wicked sense of humour which is always present.
