Hi there all,



I apologise for posting the same message on so many different forums but I'm trying to cover all bases. I live in Canada and I'm poor (like a lot of people) so I cannot afford to pay anything to do this search, nor can I afford to travel. So I'm stuck with the internet and the helpfulness of others...



Looking for my grandmother, ANNIE FLORENCE DAVIDSON of Ballymena Dunnganon Co. Tyrone. In the early 1940’s, she worked as a waitress and resided at 38 Leyham Gardens, Kensington W8 (London). On Oct 28, 1945, she gave birth to a son in a “convalescant home” in Coombe Down, Bath, England who she named ROBERT WILFRED DAVIDSON.

The boy resided in an orphanage in Guildford under the care of SISTER I WILLIAMSON of Hope Lodge, Nightingale Road until July 1947. He was then adopted by CYNTHIA AND BERNARD THOMS and renamed HAMISH JAMESON THOMS.

Upon adoption of the boy, Cynthia received a document from Homeless Children's Aid and Adoption Society and F.B. Meyer Children's Home (Incorporated).
