Hello
A wee note to introduce myself. I live in Scotland and have been interested in family history for a number of years. Ancestors originally from Ireland - have been trying to establish exactly where but no luck so far. Problem is that most records show place of birth as "Ireland" - and my ancestor came to Scotland around 1839, and Irish records very difficult to search particuarly where no county known.

I noticed you are a Mchugh? I have a Ann Mchugh in my tree born in Ireland married to a George McElroy in Lancashire.
