Thread: Confused newbie

Hi Everyone,

I'm a Yorkshire lass (not quite a lass now) from Adelaide, Australia. Been having a go at family search for a little while but keep getting lost along the way. Found this site by accident and thought I would give it a go.

Have 5 grandchildren and would like them to know a little about their roots. Searching surnames - Bushby, Hall and Stansfield,

Hi,I to have "hall" ancestors. Bit like looking for a needle in a haystack! Just out of interest where did you Hall ancestors come from? Regards Sheila

Hi, My mother was a Hall before marriage .. had sister Phyllis .. don't know anything much about that side of family. I grew up in Huddersfield but think mum hailed from Barnsley .. not sure.
