Thread: Hello from Brisbane, Australia

Hello, I was missing my parents after them both passing in 2006.

My dad aged 90yrs and mum 82yrs.



I Know and have good back ground information on my mothers family but had nothing on my fathers.

So I did a Google search on my Grandmother (Darkess Ellen Coles) and I came across this site .

I will have to look back and try and find whom it was looking but I found alot of information that I never knew before.

Someone was looking for details on my fathers family (CHURCHWARD) and I saw a comment and it was my father that they were talking about....



I'd love to hear from anyone searching for my family.

I found my Great great great Grandfather to be ABRAHAM CHURCHWARD b.1821 (Devonshire UK)

My father was HAROLD GEORGE CHURCHWARD b 1916 d 2006 and he was the son GEORGE CHURCHWARD b 1887 d 1918. (Maryborough Qld Aust)

I am very happy with what I found so far but would love to know a little more and also help anyone else if can help in any way.

There is lots of information on Churchward on both pages of this thread.



I have a couple of Churchward's in my tree. Samuel b 1794 Buckfastleigh Devonshire married Margaret Michelmore b 1794. They had a daughter Maria b Oct qtr 1836 in Buckfastleigh. She married a William Walls b 7 August 1828 Chacewater Cornwall. His sister Lavinia married into my Tattersall family. There is another Aussie here researching the same Tattersalls.
