Thread: Hello from Deepest Norfolk

Hiya my name is keith and after a beak of about 6 years I am having another go at breaking down some Brick Walls.



I now work at County Hall Norwich so am making regular trips into the Norfolk Archive Centre



I was adopted at Birth by my Aunt and Uncle so I got off to a good start as familiy trees go !!



Being Born and Bred several of the families I am investgating are long term Norfolk families - any way these are the Tree's I am working on



Middleton (my Grandmother's Maiden Name) - lived in the Denton area - got back to approx 1810



Goodley my birth Name ( Grandmothers married name) - none of my doing but a relation did a Single name search some while ago and got back as far as approb 1800 - from Cambridgeshire



Sowter - my least successful Tree - see seperate post I made yesterday

sadly back to a poor law institution in Southwark



King - My blood mothers maiden Name - a few dead here - about 3 generations back that I would like some help on.



Whitlam - -in Norwich BAck to 1700 - with help of Australian based family



Huggins - in the Kettringham area - lots of loose branches not joined together - help here would be appreciated as could get back to pre 1700



Swann - in Norwich Area



Miller - ditto



Corston - in Wymondham Area



Deacon - Lammas Area





Phew if any of these tie in for anyone else's searches please let me know and I will share what I have

Welcome also from Norfolk.



I live not far from Norwich and Great Yarmouth. Always have done. Born and bred Norfolker.



My ancestors are London, Essex, Suffolk and Durham so on but with a hint of Norfolk.



My ancestor Dennis Helsdon was born in Norwich in 1756. His mums maiden name was Harbord and his paternal grans maiden name was Riches. Dennis moved to London in about 1780 and wed in 1784 in Stepney to Susannah Fradine.
