Thread: Just Found This Site

Hello fellow researchers!

What a wonderful find. I come via a search engine - was looking for some ancestors and found a connection with a member of this community. I have been 'doing' genealogy for about 10 years. I volunteer at my local FHC several times a week throughout the fall and winter. Now that I'm retired, I hope to break through some of my long held brick walls.

I do the same, combining my own research with helping newbies. Not all that many come for long, the TV programmes do give a totally false impression of the difficulties involved. It's a great pity, as we all know, our hobby is a fascinating and rewarding one. That's life I suppose !
