Thread: Intro from Brian Eastwood

First time this forum. I am like most people who decide to research their family roots - we are a bit too late to gather the really useful stuff from our long departed grandparents - part of all the ' If only's in life ...

I was born in Oldham Lancashire 70+ years ago

Parents were Harry Eastwood and Lily Rudd



And like everone here I am also searching for ancestry links

Mine seem to be

Eastwood from Paddock Yorkshire

B. c1843 John. Married. Betty in Oldham Lancs

Ch. Amelia, William, Mary, Harry, John[Jack]



Turner from Heap / Heywood Lancs

B. c1827 Thomas. Married Alice

Ch. c1849 Robert Sp. Rachel Horrox -

Ch. c1874James Thomas M to Bertha Knott [To USA 1913 ??]



John William Rudd. B. c1880 Married Sarah Alice Needham around 1904



I would appreciate comment from anyone who feels that they might have a connection

I have been 'Playing around' with the family stuff since Jan

but layed off from April til now



Early 'Good' results - Cousins USA [From G Uncle emigrating 1913]

Now finding the inevitable 'Blocks'

Clues abound - but so many names that are 'Yours'

that 'nearly' belong to you.



Not sure if I have exhausted the freely available stuff [Its exhausting me]

What is best site to pay for ? [Or not]
