I was just browsing the posts and realised introducing myself was something I didn't do. So better late than never (lol). Hi my name is Lynn and I live in Liverpool. I have been researching my family tree now for about eight years. Although I don't have many relatives left to ask about the family, I have done lots of research myself. I have found many relatives through various sites. I found two half sister's of my mum's, she didn't even know about them. Was just a pity that she passed away before I found them. I am in touch with their family, it has been fantastic meeting up with them this year. Plenty of pictures, hugs and tears. I found I had a brother and sister that were given up for adoption. My story is on here. I also found a great aunt and her family, who I have bcome quite close too. Sadly my great aunt passed away this year at the age of 88, I was with her when she died. It's left a void in my life, but it is nice to be close to her three children. I even managed to bring some of her family member's, nephews and neices to see her before she passed away. It was strange getting in touch with them all, they had all thought she had passed away years ago. I even have a photo of five generations of my family, that's one for the album. So all these second cousins I now have, the oldest being 75. Since being in touch with them all, they have all given me information and photographs. I also found some of my Welsh family and it has been great going to Wales to meet some of them and walking the same steps as my ancestors. The more I find, the more I want to look. it is now getting to that stage that I want to go to places to see where it all began, places like Shropshire, Staffordshire, Derbyshire and lots of other places. I think I really have the bug!!!!! I also am currently doing some Local History courses, which is brilliant, helps me understand the social history of the times. Right now we are doing the slave trade and the freemason's. It is fantastic and I am loving every moment.
Thanx for taking time to read this, good luck in your research, Lynn x![]()
