Thread: Researching FREW family, Scotland

Hi, I just found this site this evening and am pleased to see a website that just might help me in my search for my family. The FREW family were in places such as Old Monkland, Govan, Dykehead, Paisley, Broomhouse and Baldernock. The surnames include BEVERIDGE, ROBERTSON, URIE, LENNAX, ISHERWOOD, KIRKWOOD, MARSHALL and RIED. Thomas FREW married Rebecca REID, their son William FREW married Janet URIE it is from this line I descend. Their son Thomas FREW b. July 1805 supposedly in Dunbar Castle, he married Margaret NEILSON abt 1841. Their known sons were Thomas, John, James, William, Alexander and daughter Helen. James is my ggreat grandfather. He married Janet ROBERTSON in 1872 in "Baillieston, Old Monkland, Lanark", according to family. Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated!
