A quick introduction...
I am researching the Kennedy family of Falkirk, Stirlingshire, Scotland who emigrated between 1851 and 1853 to Canada. They settled in Egremont Twp, Grey County, Ontario.
I am currently looking for information on the Rutt family who married-into the Kennedy family in 1923. Albert Edward Rutt (b. 1895) and his brother Joseph Henry Rutt, Jr., (b. 1894) were born in St. Mary's, Reading. They appear together with their sister Emma (b. Dec 1897) and their step-sister Winnifred (b. 1889 in London), their father Joseph Henry Rutt, Sr. and step-mother, Fanny Blackman in the 1901 census for Reading. The boys mother Emma Hartley died in December 1897 and their father remarried to Fanny in 1898.
Joseph, Jr. appears as a child migrant from the Reading Union Work House on the Barnardo lists for March 1906. Albert appears as a child migrant from the Reading Union Work House on the Barnardo lists for May 1908. The girls both appear in Windosr, Ontario in 1916 on their wedding day.
If anyone can assist in helping me find the family between 1901 and 1906, and then the girls between 1906 and 1916, I would really appreciate it.
Many thanks,
Lili
