Hi I am looking for information about the name Gopsill.



The people I would like to know more about are Richard Gopsill who emigrated to America during the 1890's from Stratford on Avon, Warwickshire. He never return to the UK as far as we know.



He left a family in the UK and we think remarried in America. He worked in a gold mine. He went to America with his daughter Annie who was fourteen. She became pregnant and her fiance was killed in the mine explosion, so her father sent her back to the uk when she was seventeen.



Any information would be gratefully recieved.
