Thread: New to genealogy

Hi, I have recently started searching for my ancestors. My name is Theresa Kelley. I am looking for Kelley/Kelly family information and my Seward family connection. I know that John James Kelley was born on 14 Jan 1794, in Fleming County, Kentucky and his father was John Kelley (could be Kelly) was born somewhere in Ireland. John Kelly was in the Revolutionary war on America's side. He possibly was born in 1755. My Seward family connection is through Lt. William Seward, born in 1627 in Bristol, Gloucester, England. We believe his father was Edward Seward, born in 1601, in Bristol, Gloucester, England. He was married to Ann Lister, born in 1605, in Adel, Yorkshire, England. After that we are stuck. Does anyone know about these two families? We would appreciate the help. Thanks.
