Thread: Hello from the pessimistic one..lol

I'd like to introduce myself but i'm not pessimistic like my darlin' husband Troppo thinks..lol...I'm Deni and i'm stuck on basically not knowing a thing about my family/ancestors except my grandparents names and the area they lived but hey thats a start and i've only been looking for about 3 years now so give it time and i might find out a bit more..Thank you for having me here and a big thank you to my Troppo for asking a question about my family in here and for the people who quickly answered it..I look forward to getting to know you all but right now i'm off to bed..

Welcome to Ancestry Aid. The two hardest things I have found with my tree were getting started and knowing when to stop. The second I have not yet managed and tree is now a forest. Good luck.

Like you I don't pay for anything in my research, mainly because I don't have any money. My tree has grown from just my grandparents names to just on 59,000 individuals. So believe me it is more than possible to find your family. I have only had to buy one certificate for one of my GG Grandfathers. Family members had been searching for his death for 25 years I just used a bit of creative spelling and found him, had to get the certificate to prove it. I got mine through a transcription agent and only paid $15 instead of the $30 that our BDM office wanted and got a lot more information.



Don't give up there are lots of people here who love helping others and you will find your brickwalls falling down around you.



I also am in Oz on the outskirts of Sydney and there are quite a few Ozzie members here.

Hi Deni67, welcome to Ancestry Aid & good luck with your research.

Thank you for the warm welcomes everyone, It's a real family affair now with myself Troppo and my niece now joining so i'm sure between the 3 of us we'll be able to find something. I "met" a wonderful lady online about 8 months ago who i contacted again yesterday and it looks like we might be related through marriage on my mothers side and she's going to send me all of her information she has on my (hopefully) grandmother. Iv'e never had a real relative besides my brothers, their families and my mother so i'm very excited about the whole thing.
