Thread: Hello all

Hi all,



I stumbled into this forum while doing some research for a novel.



To give you some info about me:

I'm a writer and artist (but security professional for money ) living in Milton Keynes, England. I have one published novel under my belt and have been trying to decide on which is going to be my second (I have started work on several).



I recently discovered the story of a Captain and his ADC in the Crimean War, and it had me gripped.

I would like to create a novel which would read between the lines of the existing history, and elaborate upon it. It will be fiction in relation to the characters, but be historically accurate.



Bearing in mind that I have little historical knowledge it seems to be going well so far .

So, I thought it would be wise to join this forum after locating it. Perhaps here I might be able to find answers to some questions relating to 19c military and lifestyle, as this will clearly be my weakest point considering my usual attention to detail.
