iwhere would i findolder pictures of street/ house in scarborough my grandad was born at 3 chapmans yard.globe street.scarborough cant seem to find anything found on a map ages ago the street where my grandad was born in 1907 but when i search for the address cant find it,not even old pictures

the address in question (from birth cert) is 3 chapmans yard.globe street scarborough,any help be good as im lost

Hi janine, i had the same problem as you. My mother lived at Brook street Burton on trent and when i tried to find it on a street map i had no luck. So i tried Google earth and multi map on the internet ( just type in the address you are looking for and it should automatically take you to it when you zoom in.) I discovered that the street i was looking for had long been demolished, but google earth and multi map still pin pointed the street where it once stood. Give it a go, and see what happens.
