    Default Marriage Look Up Please

Can anyone help me please with a marriage look up for a William Whitehead to Amelia ? for kent Woolwich or Greenwich. Most likely around 1866/70. This was my Great Great Grandfather and his second marriage. I am still working on his first marriage to a Matilda Plant sometime in the 1850,s. Location unknown. Please can anyone help?

    Hi Marion

I have searched and searched but as yet have not found a marriage between
William and Matilda. I know this is not the right time frame but I have found a marriage for a William Whitehead to an Amelia Wybourn Sept 1/4 1850 Lewisham Kent vol 5 page no 342. Sorry not to have been of more help. Good luck.

    best wishes

    Maggie

    Thankyou Maggie,

I appreciate all feed back. I do have a problem with my Great Great Grandfather and finding his marriage details. Until a few days ago Maggie I only thought he had married the once to Amelia ? who was some years younger in age and born in County Kerry Ireland. A birth Cert was forwarded through to me for a son Joseph Alexander Whitehead born 1866 Woolwich and when I read the Mothers details and it was not Amelia I thought this William for sure must have been married twice unless Amelia is another way of putting the name Matilda which I dont think so? The surname Plant is very much tied in with my Whiteheads but Matilda Hmmm? Anyway Maggie should you come across something new would you kindly get back to me.

    Thankyou

    Hi Marion,

Sorry about the delay in replying to your message I did reply yesterday but I have just noticed that for some reason the message wasn't sent. Gremlins in the works eh?

Your late father sounds like he was a very wise man.

I have searched again for your rellies but as yet to no avail. The only Martha Plant I have found so far is one married to William King. Do you know where and when your William Whitehead was born. The William and Amelia I found on the census had a someone called William H Whiteside born 1846 in Kent living with them. Not sure if he was a son or a nephew. Ring any bells? I will certainly let you know if I come across any more info.

    Happy Hunting

    Maggie
