Thread: USA Marriage lookup please

Hi,

This is a bit lengthy but hopefully will give all the info required.

I'm searching for details on Joseph McElvenny B 1852 Ireland who i belive went to the US after 1891 from Scotland. I've found a marriage on the IGI for a Joseph McElvenny to Mary Timmins in NY NY in 1902. On the 1910 census for NY theres a Joseph married to a Mary but unfortunatly it gives his YOB as 1861 his arrival as 1887 and place of birth as Scotland?

I've been unable to find him on any passenger lists but the surname may be spelt differently.

Would it be possible to find his marriage details and hopefully his parents so i'll know if he is or isn't the right person.

As far as I know, there are not any marriages on-line yet for New York after 1875. The dates available differ from state to state.

I'll just have to put that down as possible for now till more info is avalable.
