Thread: 1861 census lookup please

I'm seeking info on Samuel but unfortunatly what i have is a little vague. He married Elizabeth B1831/32 Nottinghamshire Hoveringham in 1859 and they had a daughter called Louisa B1859 Nottinghamshire Caythorpe. I'm assuming that Samuel was also born in Nottinghamshire but can't be certain, i know at the time of the census they were living in Nottinghamshire.

There is an Elizabeth b 1831 - Hoveringham with daughter Louisa aged 2 born in Caythorpe Notts..but the husband is Henry Clifton born c 1821 East Stoke, Nottingham



The only Samuel I can see living in Nottingham with Elizabeth as wife were born 1814 and 1808..no children living with them

I think that the entry for Elizabeth/Henry Clifton is in fact the correct one. I've found there marriage on FreeBMD for 1852 which is earlier than i thought. Elizabeth re married to John Foster in 1868 and on a later census there is a stepson called Henry Clifton Foster which makes you think, given the above,that Henry is the father.
