Thread: maiden names

hi everyone

can anyone help me find the maiden name of my great and ggreat grandmothers. the first is jane b 1835 she married james hammond. i am not sure where could be the surrey or bermondsey areas. next is their eldest son james wife sarah b 1859 they married in 1883 they had ten children sarah died in 1908 age 49. they were from bermondsey.

thank you for your help yes it could be them ,in the 1851 census james was living in hackney with his widowed mum abigail. i dont have any info about his father .one of their daughters was called elizabeth probably named after her mum.
