Thread: Household Cavalry

Hi can any one lookup information on George Ed Henshall Lifeguardsman in 1863.

Do you have any other information about him? Approximate date of birth? Area of the country? Household Cavalry records are held at the National Archives.

Dear Gillian the only thing I know is that when his son william married they lived at 11 cahir street poplar middlesex and that william's dad listed his own occupation as a lifeguardsman, that was in 1863 william was born 1827 and i have found no records of his birth. He married on 25th october and i have that certificate. I have sent numerous e-mails to England and places who supposedly have the records and no one responds. In 1851 and 1861 census for that address they did not live there so i presume they lived elsewhere. I have been told that the army used to record all details of marraiges births and deaths of their members. I can only assume that william's birth details are with the household cavelry.
