Help needed in finding the ancesters of John ORME born in Peckleton Leicestershire in 1791. As yet he's know where to be found. Thanks for your help. Terry

I'm afraid I couldn't find John's baptism. There is a family of Ormes in Peckleton at the right time but no John - the records are quite difficult to read but I checked them more than once. There are children of Edward Orme & Elizabeth Spencer married 26.12.1782 - there is a child 26 Sep 1791 but he is James Marshal Orme. I also found William 1794, James 1796 & Elizabeth 1798. As a matter of interest where did you get the information about his birthplace & date of birth?

Hi Gillian Thanks for trying. I've also checked records at Wigston Records Office and at the LDS.I got the information from the family bible as John is my wife's ancestor. We have all the children of John which are as per the records and bible.It looks like Edward and Elizabeth are the likely parents then.We are also from Leicester and dig around when ever we're there.
