Has anyone ever found their ancestors recorded twice in the same census?



i have a catherine ellen jeffcoate in 1901 census recorded as visitor with people who would be her grandparents. this is in alfreston derbyshire.



i have catherine jeffcoate recorded on a 1901 census in nuneaton wih her father and mother.



this has been confusing me greatly because according to my husbands grandmother they didnt have a sister catherine but they did have a nellie born aruond same time. Is it likely that nellie is a nickname from ellen (catherines middle name)

I haven't come across it in my own tree yet but I do know that one year my brother was entered on the census at our address and he was also put on the census of someone he stayed with over night.

This will muck someone up in the future as I have no idea which year it was.
