Hi,would it be at all possible if anybody could help me?I have found my great grandads family to be living in harrogate on the 1901 census but i cant seem to get to anywhere else.i know the reasons why the census has not yet been released.But,does anybody know what i can do to find out his siblings families!Anything would be really really appreciated.I am literally banging my head against a brick wall.

One way to trace them post 1901 is searching the BMD indexes for free at Ancestry! It's a long and hardous task..but well worthwhile



FreeBMD have lots of data, but not a full transcript as yet...its an ongoing project.



The only problems with searching the indexes is that in the Births the mothers maiden name isn't listed until Sep 1911 and on the marriages the Spouse name isnt listed till 1912



If you've exhausted family knowledge, there's always the local archives to trawl through parish registers.....thats ok if they remained in area Electoral rolls are a useful aid as well.



And of course uploading your tree on to sites like AA, where other people can search to see if they have the same ancestors is pretty useful as well.



Anything specific you need help with..just post names dob area and whatever info you have and someone is always willing to help out!
